Karad, Developed Taluka place in Revenue District Satara in western Maharashtra which has mythological, historical, political and social background. It is also blessed with famous Preetisangam of holy rivers Krishna and Koyana. It has also got privilege to shine on the map of India. The city is also famous and well known as karmabhumimi of honorable ex-chief minister late Shri Yashawantrao ji Chavan.
In such a manifold town , Rotary club of karad , part of biggest social organisation Rotary International , was established.
Rotary club of Karad chartered on 6th May 1957 under the capable presidentship of great Industrialist Late Mr.Nilkanthrao Kalyani.
In the beginning, Rotary club of Karad started to accomplish social obligations (services) with friendship, fellowship with members.
At present, club is having 90 members of various classifications and performing its role in education, literacy, health and various projects under various community needs.
Rotary club of Karad had sponsored three other Rotary clubs as
Rotary Clud of Patan year 1987
Rotary Club of Umbraj year 2015
Rotary Club of Malkapur Year 2019-20
Rotary Club of Karad also sponsored two Rotaract Clubs which are now partners of Rotary.
Rotary Club of Karad is also having it’s Charitable Trust.
Rotary Club Karad has given leaders for Dist 3132.
And due to continuous noble social work, club has got good name and status in society.
